Dance is an art that engages in music, in acting, as well as artistic body postures. This industry has been practiced in different countries with their own culture. In the past, most dances were considered to be done to please God, but in modern times, dancing is recognized as a pleasure element. Let's know about some of the most popular dance styles.

1. Salsa

Salsa dance has originated from Cuban folk dances. It is usually not a dance of a pair, alone. But there is also its single form. Salsa is a dance tradition, but most people do it with Latin American music. This dance is widely popular in Latin America, North America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East.

2. Tap Dance

The music was created by tapping the metal plates attached to the ball and the heels. Tap dance is composed in the form of that music. Separate shoes were made for this dance.

When the metal plates are hit on the solid floor, strange sound waves are created. It is believed that this dance started in the 1800s.

3. Yanko Dance

Yanko Dance is a traditional dance of Han Chinese. Its origins are in China and it is a part of the popularity of their culture. The body is rocked by a certain rhythm in this dance. The history of Yangon is 1000 years old and is usually performed at the Lantern Festival. Now the kind of dancing we see, started circulating in the late 1940s.

4. Belly Dance

This is a traditional Western Asian dance. It is called the Middle Eastern dance or the Arabian dance. Although the name is 'Belly dance', each part of the body is associated with dancing. It was popular in the 18th to the 19th century, when oriental artists were shaping the life of the harem into romanticism in the Ottoman Empire.

5. Kathak

This dance form originated from northern India and is one of the eight forms of Indian classical dances. This dance form has its influence on many temples in India, in various customs and devotional displays. Kathak actually means story. Some sort of stories are told through this dance form.

6. Gangnam Style

The Gangnam Style name comes from the Korean neologism which is related to the lives of the residents of Seoul in Gangnam district. A music video of this dance spread in the middle of the Internet in 2012.

The dance reached a different level after the release of this excellent dance video and has now become a popular dance form.

7. Break Dance

This dance has been made popular by Michael Jackson. It has four primary components - top rock, down rock, power moves, and freezes/suicides. This dance is quite complex and needs physical exercise and requires skills and practice. This dance is also called b-boy, b-girl, or breaker.

8. Ballet

Ballet is a kind of performance-based dance that was produced in Italy in the 15th century. Later, it became a concert dance of France and Russia. It has become dominant in the world and has defined the principles used in many other dance centers and cultures. Ballet is taught in schools all over the world.

9. Hip-hop Dance

Hip-hop dance is street dance with hip-hop music. This dance began in the 1970s and gained popularity in the United States. Dancing is near preliminary monuments and close to the land.

Dance, music, and playing instruments are closely related to each other. Dance was a means of pleasing God in the past, but now many take it up as a career.
